Wii

Nintendo has announced that the Wii will be released on
November 19,2006 for only $249.99. That's quite a bit
cheaper than PS3 and the Xbox 360, plus it's Nintendo. Any
gamer that has been around more than two video game has
to be excited for this system. Its virtual console can
download games for the NES, Super NES, Nintendo 64,
Sega Genesis/MegaDrive, Turbo-Grafx, and MSX home
computer. It will be directly backwards compatible to the
Game Cube (including games, controllers, and memory
cards). It has the Wii remote with nunchuk attachment,
which has the potential to change gaming as we know it.
They are standard wireless controllers (using Blue Tooth
technology). The best part is that Shelley said that if its
under $300, I can get it on the preorder date.
Noses Optional

Noses Optional is a great gamer/geek comic. The art is very smooth
and unique. It has amazingly fun comics based on the creator's real
life. Judging from the comic, Kristy Bourgeois and Sara-"Fred"
Rickert must have an extremely entertaining life. I think what
makes the comic most enjoyable is the random, yet relatable,
humor. Getting a brief glimpse into their lives is always enough to
give their readers a smile. The only downside of this comic is the
infrequent updates, but it is a lot of fun to read when it does
update. Check it out and make sure to read the short news posts
while your there. They are often times as fun as the comic.

November 1, 2006

I know Halloween is already over, but I got this idea yesterday and had to post it.  My mom
forgot to buy candy to hand out, so she used some old candy that had been sitting under a bird
cage for about a year.  It was covered in feathers and bird seed, so she just dusted it off and
handed it out.  I thought it was gross until I realized we didn't have any candy either, and Josh
ended up handing out old Easter candy.
