Battlestar Galactica: Season 2.2 The second half of season 2 of Battlestar Galactica comes out on September 19. This box set will have many great episodes. It has the conclusion of the mid series cliff hanger (between Galactica and Pegasus). We will learn about the existence of the Resurrection Ship and also get a deeper look into the darker side of humanity with the introduction of the black market episode and episode with Cloud 9 being held captive. This half of the season we also see one of the main characters die. Most importantly, we learn about the birth of the Cylon/Human hybrid baby and end on a season cliffhanger with future of humanity looking very bleak. With season 3 starting in October, this is a great box set to get you caught back up or refreshed for the series.

Silent Kimbly Silent Kimbly is a great webcomic for all ages. It contrasts many of the webcomics that I currently read in that Ryan Sias does a great job appealing to both adults and children with his cartoon art and his great use of work play. Sias is currently selling a book right now on his website, which he will sign for you at no extra cost. At $14, this book is a steal for anyone that loves children books. It contains 100 of Sias’s personal favorite Kimbly comics. I eagerly read through it as soon as I received it. I have also read it to my 3 year old niece, Genesis, and she loved it. If you enjoy art Dr. Suess style art and/or are a fan of puns and word play, definitely give this comic a look.

September 11, 2006 I hate peddlers! They stop you in front of Walmart and then make you feel like crap if you don't buy their magazines. One guy stopped me today and told me it was "bad karma" to lie to him and say I didn't have money to buy his magazines. I didn't have money to buy magazines! I needed toilet paper, dangit! (Although I suppose some of those magazines are equivalent to toilet paper.) I though about showing him my bank statement and my receipts to prove to him that I didn't have money. But then I realized, he's just a bum selling magazines because he's too lazy to get a real job, and I didn't feel so bad about it anymore.
