V for Vendetta On August 1, V for Vendetta comes to DVD. With a screen play written by The Wachowski Brothers (directors of the Matrix Trilogy) base on an Alan Moore comic book, James McTeigue does an excellent job with his directorial debut. The movie is about a freedom fighter known only as “V” (played by Hugo Weaving). We follow his complex plan, using terrorist tactics to try and bring down a totalitarian government. The story is told from the point of view of a girl he rescued (played by Natalie Portman).

Snafu Here is a gaming/life comic written from a student’s point of view by David Stanworth. It has pretty simple art, but very unique coloring. I really enjoy the shading and lighting detail put into the comics. I also enjoy how fluid the style is. The way the characters are drawn has changed many times, but I think the comic has always had the same look and feel. This comic has some of my favorite gaming jokes of any gaming comic I have read. It also has some really gross (but funny) jokes in it as well. If you like low-brow and/or gaming humor, give this comic a read. But don’t forget your ninja spray and oh yeah, TAG YOUR IT. Overall rating: 8.5/10

July 14, 2006 Well, we've finally reached 100 comics! I can't believe we made it! I was going to celebrate with a contest of some sort, but I haven't had the chance to iron out the details yet. I'll probably have it up on Monday. I decided to remove the Latest Comic page and place the comic on the home page instead. It will save time and space. The anticipated and comic selection sections aren't updated yet because Josh is a lazy bum. I wanted to do a special comic for 100, but I didn't want to do anything cliche, so I decided that I would activate Sara's Bear. It's sort of a landmark event, as you will see in future comics. Jeff made some neat trading cards for the forum, which I will claim were also made especially in celebration for the 100th comic, so everyone should stop by and check them out.
